EIV Publishing has teamed up with the charity Transformation Powerhouse to produce this anthology of poems.
 
Transformation Powerhouse was set up by Mark and Gee Patchett and registered as both a charity and a social enterprise in April 2002.
 
Transformation is a charity that is run by people who believe that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves.
 
Did you know that The Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) estimated that 5.0% of adults (6.9% women and 3.0% men) aged 16 years and over experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2022; this equates to an estimated 2.4 million adults (1.7 million women and 699,000 men)? Do you know how many people are raped, sexually assaulted and sexually abused?  1 in 4 women have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult (6.54 million women in total). 1 in 6 children have been sexually abused. 1 in 18 men have been raped or sexually assaulted as an adult. The prevalence of it all does not seem to be diminishing, and yet, within what can seem like a dark corridor of hopelessness, there is light; there is help.
 
This book includes the written art of authors who penned pieces to celebrate life, deal with their demons, testify of their transformation and bring hope to others.
 
All came together to support the amazing work of one charity seeking to make their light shine brighter so that survivors not only survive but thrive.
