About the Event
About this Event
“We are each other's harvest; we are each other's business; we are each other's magnitude and bond.” ― Gwendolyn Brooks
This quote by Gwendolyn Brooks encapsulates this quarter's Poetry Salon theme 'Women That Rhyme Together Chime Together.' You are invited to join like-minded women to bond over poetry during this 4-week workshop.
Over the course of four weeks (2-hours EVERY WEDNESDAY starting on 12th May @ 7.30pm (GMT)), you will have the opportunity to explore the form and feelings that help to shape your ideas in an interesting way.
This workshop is suitable for both new and experienced writers. You will receive a workbook to keep your pieces in and constructive feedback on your poems designed to be both positive and useful within a supportive group.
Why join this workshop?
- It will provide the chance to dig deeper and expand your knowledge of poetry and give a greater understanding of what poetic form can achieve.
- You’ll gain the tools to apply these forms to your own writing
- It will provide a chance to delve into your own thoughts past and present for content and narrative to include in your poetry
- and to gain the opportunity to perform at the next Poetry Salon celebrating togetherness on FRIDAY 11TH JUNE 2021
